Patch Notes B0.052 - GM Questions, System Prompt View, Appearance Themes
Hi everyone, hope you are doing well and enjoying GM Harness 2! Our early data shows that existing players are taking about 49% more turns and spending 29% more time playing than before, which means you're taking more turns and playing longer sessions! We also looked at this across new players, and saw that brand new players are taking 45% more turns than new players from the same time period last week. From this data it's looking like Harness 2 is performing much better for players in aggregate.
While the data is looking promising, we have also been hearing mixed feedback from some players in Discord. Primarily, we're seeing that folks who had more complex, rules-heavy systems are having more trouble with Harness 2. If you're someone who has been struggling, please know that we're actively working on making adjustments and finding solutions for you. We're also hosting two town hall calls in Discord, Friday, Oct 30 at 6:30pm PT and Saturday, Oct 31 at 3:00pm PT. Hop in and share a bit about your experience so far. It'll help us improve the harness for you!

New
- The GM can ask you questions again in GM Harness 2. When a world turns on the Ask question tool, the GM can stop at a choice and offer numbered options: pick one (or press 1–9), or answer in your own words. Answered questions stay in the story with your choice marked.
- You can now read the GM's whole system prompt on the Game Master tab. Craft's own parts show in gray behind a toggle, and each of the world's sections says whether it is always on or comes from a player option.
- The turn inspector now shows the system prompt and the current state as it was when the turn began and after it ended.
- Redesigned the world Appearance tab: 30 theme presets grouped by genre and shown in their own fonts and colors, 166 fonts with a mood search ("pirate", "western") and suggested pairings, and a live preview beside the controls.
