Patch Notes B0.033: Unlimited Core Models, More Free Account Usage, New Max and Ultra Plans

Today we’re changing up our subscription plans, in the best way. We’ll be adding a ton of value to every single person playing Craft, with everyone getting even more usage than they had before. We’re introducing a new category of models named Craft Core models. Subscribers who are on the Plus plan or above have unlimited free usage of Craft Core models. For free users, their daily energy has been replaced by limited daily access to Core models with higher limits than the previous daily energy. And Starter subscribers have higher limits of Craft Core models than free users: after the core limit has been reached for the day, the core models will consume energy at the standard rates.
What models are included in Craft Core?
At launch, Craft Core models are:
- MiMo 2.5
- DeepSeek v4 Flash
- Hy3
We plan to add more models into Craft Core over time as new models are released, and may remove models from Craft Core based on provider pricing and availability.
Why are we making these changes?
One of the biggest points of feedback we hear from players is that they feel uncomfortable with the energy system because of the friction limits impose on playing. We want to do our best to resolve that. To be completely frank, introducing unlimited usage at this scale with how Craft works is quite a significant hit to our margins, but after discussion we think it’s worth it for the value it provides to players. With these changes and the unique offering Craft delivers, we truly believe we provide the most valuable subscriptions for what you’re getting compared to other AI gaming platforms or apps.
Why are Craft Core models not unlimited for starter subs?
Unfortunately the numbers simply don’t work out for giving all starter subs unlimited usage for core models. Please keep in mind that we're not reducing any plan energy and replacing it with core models, we're keeping your existing energy the same and giving you even more core usage on top. In the future, we may be able to provide unlimited options for Starter subscriptions if model costs continue to drop.
How much usage is limited usage?
We’re expecting that everyone wants to know exactly how many turns they will get per day on the limited free and Starter plans. We can’t give a specific number though as the usage granted may fluctuate day to day depending on demand and availability. What we’re aiming for though, is that the included core usage will cover the average usage for most players, and you’ll likely hit the limits only on heavier days. We hope to make this core offering sustainable, and may adjust how it works or impose more restrictions in the future depending on the data we see after this is live.
Are Craft Core models the same as those rate limited free models?
No, the previously offered free models have been removed. The previous rate limited free models were completely free endpoints provided by OpenRouter which were globally shared and at no cost to us. Since they were completely free, they were often rate limited, not as intelligent, and unreliable. The new Craft Core models are the same paid models currently in use today, except now we cover the usage charges for you.
New Plans for Power Users
With the latest changes above, we think most people are best served by the existing plans, but we do get requests from some users who want even higher daily energy limits than the Pro plan. For those power users, we’re introducing new Max and Ultra plans which have even higher daily energy limits.
Other Changes
- With these changes, free accounts no longer receive 10 daily energy and instead have limited daily usage to Craft Core models.
- The Sana image model is now free for everyone when used with the GM or Assistant, and Free accounts can now only access Sana when using energy.
- GLM 5.3 has been added, with GLM 5.2 and GLM 5 now being designated as legacy models.
- Gemini 3.5 Flash and 3.6 Flash have been replaced by Gemini 3.7 Flash, and Gemini 3.7 Flash is currently running with a limited time 75% discount.
