What You Cloned
A straight FAE SRD → Craft conversion
This template is the Fate Accelerated Edition SRD, file by file, with nothing from any other game and nothing added that the SRD doesn't contain. Fourteen file types, organized around three ideas:
- Rules as chapters. The whole ruleset lives in searchable
rulefiles — Welcome to Fate, Character Creation, The Four Actions & Four Outcomes, Approaches & the Ladder, Aspects / Invoking & Compelling, Fate Points & Refresh, Stress / Consequences & Recovery, Stunts, Challenges / Contests & Conflicts, Quick Reference, and the Approach Spread Archetypes. These are reference, not code. - Arithmetic as schemas. How the game computes lives in the file-type schemas — approach ratings, refresh math, stress boxes, consequence slots. Change the rules and the schemas together.
- GM procedures as triggered instructions. Everything the GM does lives in
GM Instructions/files named When X happens — the Narrator persona holds them ready and fires them as the game plays.
The fourteen file types
| Type | Holds |
|---|---|
action-card | The four actions / four outcomes at a glance |
approaches | The six approaches as linked files |
aspect | Invoke & compel guidance per aspect |
campaign | Campaign frames; issues as aspects |
character | Player characters only — decisions stored, the rest derived |
consequence | Injury aspects with 2 / 4 / 6 shift slots |
stress-track | The three-box track (everyone's looks the same) |
stunt | Template-built stunts with a required circumstance |
zone | Conflict zones — free movement within and adjacent |
scene | Scenes with their situation aspects |
npc | Nameless mooks and supporting NPCs |
gm-instructions | Triggered procedures for the Narrator |
game-start | The session-zero / first-session launcher |
rule | SRD text, verbatim where possible |
Not here, on purpose: no extras subsystem, no equipment list — the SRD doesn't have them. (The legacy Extras/ and Equipment/ folders were removed in v5, along with the extra and equipment file types — imports never delete, so remove them in the app or via craft push if they persist.)
