Player's Handbook · Chapter 6

Money and Supplies

Zenit is the campaign's currency. Your character's listed Zenit is their own balance; it is not automatically a shared party purse. Equipment prices are stated in Zenit unless the campaign establishes otherwise. Before you buy, sell, pay a fee, or transfer money, make sure you understand the amount and terms. The GM should confirm the cost and resulting balance. A character cannot spend below zero unless the group has explicitly agreed to a debt or credit rule.

Purchases and trade

A merchant's stock and prices should make sense for the place and circumstances. Scarcity, local custom, risk, and recent events can affect what is available. Ask what a seller has in stock and whether they are willing to bargain. A price change should have a reason; an unexpected fee or reward should be explained before it changes your balance.

After a transaction, record who paid, who received the money, the amount, and the new balance. Keep group funds separate from personal money and name who owns them. A promise to pay later is a debt or obligation, not spendable Zenit until it is settled. If your character receives a reward, it might be money, equipment, a favor, access, or information; not every reward needs to be a purse of coins.

Equipment and supplies

Use the official rules and your character sheet to determine what an item does, how it is carried, and what it costs. Do not assume that a descriptive item grants a mechanical benefit beyond its listed rules. Likewise, do not remove or consume an item without an established reason and a clear record of the change.

When the party prepares for a journey, ask about supplies, route conditions, and likely needs. The GM should make meaningful shortages or hazards clear enough to support your choices. If a supply rule is not in the official rules or campaign agreements, do not invent a hidden penalty after the fact; establish a fair ruling with the table first.

Keep records of purchases, sales, rewards, losses, and transfers as they happen. If a balance or inventory entry looks wrong, pause and reconstruct the transaction rather than carrying an uncertain number forward.
