Builder's Manual · Chapter 2

Start With Your World

This System is intentionally a skeleton. It gives you the lines; you decide how to color them in. Begin with a short pitch: genre, tone, everyday life, danger, power level, technology, important cultures, and what players actually do. Then open System Configuration and record the practical choices the Game Master must use consistently.

Do not fill every file type because it exists. Create the smallest connected slice that can support your intended first session: a starting Location, enough Species and Classes for real choices, at least one Background, useful item definitions, any relevant Languages or Divine Powers, a few Characters, and a Game Start. Add Monsters, Factions, Missions, Pressures, Food & Drink, Spells, and other definitions where the world needs them.

The System contains no required canon. Builder examples demonstrate shape and should remain hidden during play or be removed after you understand them. Rename presentation language to fit your genre, but preserve the ownership rules underneath unless you deliberately replace the mechanic.
