How to Play

You live one character in a hidden world. Everything else — the other people, the weather, the war nobody is admitting to — belongs to the world, and the world does not wait for you.

What you type

Type what your character does. That is the whole interface.

Actions: I take the seat beside her and don't look at the door.
Speech: put it in quotes. "You're late, Comrade."
Talking to the GM, not the world: bracket it. [OOC: can I see the tower from here?]

There are no commands to learn, no sheet to check before every sentence. You say what a person would do, and the world answers with what happens.

What the world does back

Time moves whether or not you do. Leave a room and the room keeps going. People you haven't spoken to in a month have had a month — some of them got over you, some of them didn't, and none of them paused.

The world also says no. Sometimes the answer is that the door is locked, the royal doesn't care, or the Strigoi is simply faster than you. A refusal is not a mistake in the system — it is the system. This world has its own intent, and it runs against yours.

Your first ten minutes

Pick a starting point in the lobby — each one is a different door into the same world. Pick a character (or bring your own, if the table allows it). Read the opening, and answer it in character. That's it. There is no session zero you have to run first, no character sheet math before the first sentence.

What kind of story this is

Snark on the surface, danger underneath. Forbidden romance that costs something. Politics where the knives are real. A school where failing a class means repeating the semester and failing your duty means losing your soul.

The year is 2025. The hidden society has phones, encrypted apps, and maybe twenty years left before the human world notices it. You are inside that countdown, whatever you choose to do with it.

The Premise
