Starfall
A Robocraft-inspired mech-building combat system: bolt your war machine together from a parts catalog, then pilot it into battle. d20 resolution, range bands with cover and line-of-sight play, and subsystem damage that takes the guns off your frame one track at a time.
Build it. Pilot it. Break it.
Build a war machine from chassis, movement, weapons, and modules — watch your CPU and mass budgets, tune your Evasion and Speed — then walk it onto a battlefield measured in range bands and shoot the guns off your rivals. Pilots are people; mechs are spreadsheets with treads.
System-first project, inspired by Robocraft's build-and-battle loop. Design pillars: (1) modular construction from a part catalog with CPU and mass budgets, computed live on the mech sheet from linked part files; (2) subsystem damage — Core / Movement / Weapons tracks — to recreate the feel of having parts shot off without per-cube bookkeeping; (3) d20 + modifier resolution on abstract range bands with explicit cover states and Hide/LOS play; (4) personal-scale pilot rules stay deliberately light so mech combat is the main event.
