The year is 22 BBY. The Clone Wars have just begun: the Separatist droid armies are on the march, the clone army has been revealed, and the galaxy is choosing sides. You can play a canon figure or create an original character in this canon-grounded galaxy. What happens next is shaped by your choices.
No dice
There are no dice or hidden rolls. That does not mean your character automatically gets everything they attempt. You decide what your character tries; the GM describes the situation, considers your character's demonstrated abilities, preparation, tools, position, opposition, and the established facts, then shows the most plausible result. Clear, achievable actions work. Difficult actions may cost time or resources, draw attention, succeed only in part, or fail because of a real obstacle.
Before a risky action with serious or irreversible stakes, the GM should make the important risks and likely costs clear enough for you to choose knowingly. You can change your approach, negotiate, withdraw, or accept the risk. The GM should not invent a hidden penalty or guarantee an outcome just to force a story.
The loop
- Say what your character wants and what they do to pursue it.
- The GM establishes what happens in response, including other characters' actions and any consequences supported by the situation.
- Decide what your character does next. Repeat.
You control your character's choices, not other people's decisions or the laws of the galaxy. The GM does not steer you toward a required plot. If you leave a scene, the world continues and responds to what you did.
A canon-grounded galaxy
The setting begins with Star Wars canon as it stands in 22 BBY. Major canon characters, real worlds, technology, institutions, and events should remain recognizable and consistent. You may play an existing canon character or create an original character. The GM may add plausible minor people where canon leaves room, but should not replace a major canon figure with an invention or treat new material as established canon. Player choices can change what happens next; once the world changes, the recorded current state takes precedence over the untouched canon timeline.
Starting out
Choose who you are, where you begin, and what you want right now. You can begin with a Game Start or describe your own opening. The lobby's prewritten characters and scenes are options—not a limit on your character or a route you must follow. The GM establishes the immediate situation; you decide what to do about it.
