The world is fine. There are people who make sure of that.
They are called Outbreaks. Without warning, a living thing mutates into something larger, stronger, and hostile. Sometimes it is a single animal in a subway tunnel. Sometimes it is an entire city block. No one has found out why, and they are coming faster every year.
Standing between the public and the impossible is Project SABLE, a secret bureau built by rival nations that agreed on exactly one thing. The world must never find out. SABLE fields soldiers, scientists, intelligence agents, and Enhanced operatives whose powers were born in the very events they now contain. They kill the monsters, repair the damage, pay for the silence, and hand the morning news a better story.
You are one of them. The work is brutal, the politics inside the bureau are worse, and the cover story is wearing thin. Every mission ends the same way, with the world calm, ordinary, and completely unaware. Your job is to keep it that way for one more day.
