A System of Absolute NPC Autonomy and Consequence
Project Redstone is a universal, genre-agnostic simulation engine that replaces traditional numerical RPG mechanics with psychological behavioral logic. Built on a dual-engine framework, it drives absolute NPC autonomy, emotional permanence, and high-stakes social friction. Characters operate entirely on hidden drives, social batteries, and volatility rather than standard stats, meaning the world breathes, reacts, and moves forward whether you act or not. From intense conversational negotiations to lethal, narrative-driven tactical combat, Project Redstone delivers a living, unpredictable environment where every choice carries permanent weight.
Welcome to Project Redstone.
I built this system out of a desire for genuine tension, psychological depth, and real consequence. In traditional RPGs, the world often pauses the moment the player stops typing, with NPCs standing by like static props waiting to hand out a quest. I wanted an engine where the world breathes on its own, where characters have their own hidden agendas, breaking points, and lives that continue whether you are in the room or not.
