The Raft Survival System is not just a set of rules — it is an active participant in your survival. It tracks what you need, tells you how to get it, and can assemble things on your behalf.
Asking the System
When you want to build something or upgrade the raft, ask the system directly. It will show you a list of required materials — items, components, or resources you need to have on hand.
The system does not guess. If it says you need three planks and a coil of rope, that is exactly what it wants.
Crafting Commands
Once you have the materials, you have two options:
System Craft
Say "system, craft [item name]" and the system will assemble it for you automatically. Same with raft upgrades — say "system, upgrade raft to [level]" and it handles the rest.
The system consumes the materials from your inventory and produces the finished item or upgrade. No roll, no risk — if you have what it asked for, it works.
Manual Crafting
You can also build things yourself. If you have the skill and the materials, construct items by hand. The system recognizes manually crafted items the same way it recognizes its own — if it meets the requirements, it counts toward upgrades and objectives.
Some players prefer this. The system does not care who builds what, only that the job gets done.
Raft Upgrades
Your raft starts at Level 1 — a bare platform barely big enough to stand on. Each upgrade expands what the raft can do:
- More deck space
- Shelter and storage
- Defensive structures
- Advanced tools and stations
The system displays available upgrades and their costs. Gather the materials, give the command, and the raft transforms. Each level builds on the last — you cannot skip ahead.
