Personality types, relationships, and naming conventions are the social engine. Build them to keep every bond specific.
Personality types
Files live in /Personality Types/ (.personality-type.json). Each defines archetypeSummary, values, adoreTriggers, despiseTriggers, emotionalStyle, chemistryNotes, instantBondTypes, slowTrustTypes, and exampleCharacters. Eight ship with the project: Emberheart, Ironvein, Sparkwire, Gravitas, Tidecaller, Stormbreak, Nullshadow, Hearthkeep.
When adding a character, set personalityType (reference to one of these) and culture (free text naming culture). No two unrelated characters should share a surname — enforce it at creation.
Relationships
Files live in /Relationships/ (.relationship.json): characterA, characterB, chemistry (magnetic/warm/neutral/strained/volatile), score (-100 to +100), history, trustNotes. Score is an enhancer, never a gate: high chemistry can permit intimacy at low scores, and low chemistry can block warmth at high scores. Let personality type decide which acts move the score — never a universal "money = admiration" rule.
Naming conventions
Files live in /Naming Conventions/ (.naming-convention.json): culture, appliesTo, rules, examples, forbiddenPatterns. Five ship with the project covering Helix corporate Baselines, Rust Belt Undercity nicknames, mutant resistance chosen names, places and stations, and pets/vehicles/keepsakes (vehicles take iron-noun names, pets short signal-calls, weapons only after a life-event). Apply them when creating characters, locations, pets, starships, mechs, and equipment — and give artists, cooks, and storytellers a Hearthkeep home so art has mechanical weight through adore triggers.
