Disaster: War in Sky
Disaster: War in Sky is an open-ended aerial-combat tabletop war game set on a near-modern frontier where three magic metals — feather-light skysteel, gravity-defying levite, and hot-charged embercopper — bend the physics of a very real air war. **Work in progress.** Bring any pilot, any race, any reason to fly: build an ace, haul the freight, hunt the gunships, or just try to stay alive. Earn your maneuvers the hard way, rebuild your plane from salvaged wrecks, and climb from Civilian to King Ace across skies everyone is fighting to own.
Own the sky. Earn your class.
Disaster: War in Sky is a tabletop aerial-combat war game set on a near-modern frontier — early-2000s fourth-generation jets, radar and missiles, datalinks and standoff munitions — where three metals that exist nowhere else quietly bend the physics: **skysteel** (feather-light, unbreakable), **levite** (lifts hulls the size of cities into the blue), and **embercopper** (hot, unyielding, overpowered engines). The sky is the only battlefield worth fighting for, and every mortal race from human and elf to dwarf, orc and drakken flies into it. **Work in progress — expect changes. Still being built.**
You do not play a single fixed hero. Build any pilot you want, from any race, with any story — the starched academy ace, the salvage dog, the refugee who only has a cockpit, the veteran who keeps going back. Combat is flown, not rolled through: 2d6 + a stat against a Target, missiles that place **locks**, a chain gun that punishes the committed, and maneuvers you only learn the first time you survive them. Strip wrecked gunships to rebuild your plane, spend your earnings on the market, and climb the certification ladder from **Civilian to King Ace** into bigger theaters and harder skies. The war is everyone's. How you fly it is yours.
