Builder's Manual · Chapter 1

Start With a Pitch

Choose Express, Guided, or Deep. Express accepts one creative pitch and infers only reversible assumptions: genre, tone, power, technology, everyday life, social structure, mechanics, vocabulary, pressures, and a starting situation. Guided walks through the practical decisions. Deep adds World DNA: authority, kinship, obligation, taboo, material culture, spirituality, inspirations, and exclusions.

Every inference enters the Assumption Log with confidence and source. Review uncertain entries before they become canon. Setup asks only what it cannot safely infer—especially content boundaries, resolution/randomization, control mode, and image policy.

For an existing world, Setup chooses migration instead. It does not rebuild the setting. It checkpoints, adds compatible fields and types, copies before superseding, verifies parity, and preserves custom fields, records, references, and layouts.
