Use the smallest record that answers the current question. Operation = the active job. Crew = shared identity and Heat. Crew Role = a member's responsibility. Target = what the job is about. Location = where play happens. Faction = an organization. Contact = a person. Lead = maybe true. Intel = confirmed fact. Access = concrete opening. Obstacle = barrier with a trigger and consequence. Exposure = evidence held by an observer. Complication = persistent outside problem. Debt = directional obligation. Asset = durable shared resource. Equipment = carried tool or consumable.

Use Contract for deal terms, Downtime Project for work that needs several steps, and Operative Scar for a lasting personal change. If a fact will not affect a later decision, it probably does not need its own file.
