The Modern Exorcist - A Persona Inspired world
A Persona-inspired supernatural drama where every ghost is a story someone didn't finish — and you're the one who can settle it through combat or personal approach. 42 handcrafted missions across three cities, and 7 playable characters are ready to take them. (A work in progress — new missions, characters, and cities are being added all the time.)
Every ghost is a story someone didn't finish.
Welcome to Seoul... where the dead only touch the living through unfinished business, and the ghosts are the ones with the stories that got cut short.
You are not a hero saving the world. You are a teenager trying to pay rent, keep your friends, work a late-night shift at the corner mart — and, when one of those stories won't stay buried, settle it. Every haunting is a person who didn't get to finish. And you might be the only one who can hear them.
Start anywhere. Wake up as Ray, the lone wolf with no memory, in a Seoul that hums with secrets. Or join Jude, Wren, and Mina at the Ember Agency — three student ghost-hunters who take the cases nobody else will. The cases are personal, not world-ending: one person, one family, one ghost with a story. And every one pays, in money you feel in your pocket.
But the city is more than hauntings. It's a playground: karaoke duets where you actually have to remember the words, crane games, batting cages, midnight stakeouts, a late-night TV show that reviews ghost clips. Let Na-ri set you up on a blind date with a whole new student each time. Work a real shift, earn real won, buy that secondhand leather jacket, and take someone you care about out for tteokbokki.
The people around you matter. Ten ranks of social links — friendship, rivalry, romance — built one real scene at a time, from the very bottom. No shortcuts, no stats grind. Just showing up, listening, and keeping your promises.
When something's genuinely uncertain, you roll a d20 and add what your character is good at — fast, easy, and always on your side. But most of the game is words: what you say, who you believe, and the small choices that make a person worth knowing.
What do you owe the dead — and who are you willing to become to settle it? That's the game. Everything else is the city waiting for you.
