Travel Flow 19 — After routes are committed: verify World Clock integrity (timeIntegrityWarnings, frozen time, elapsedDays coherence), expire/roll weather, and tick every deadline, Pressure, and faction agenda that advances on elapsed time.

Travel Flow 18 — After arrival passes (including ungated auto-pass): commit durable route and region state — lastRouteChange/lastChanged, risk/status/blockers, routeEventNotes, and spec-first map refresh. No gate writes until 17 passed.

Travel Flow 12 — Evening meal at end of each travel day: player chooses which granular food/water rows to burn for the day's dailyFoodNeeds/dailyWaterNeeds, GM removes spoiled stock, checks unprepared food vs fuel, logs the burn. Always fires, even if Foraging failed.

Design every combat from the fiction first: the story picks the enemies, the threat band sets the stakes, and party capability is a gate — never a dial. XP math survives only as an optional margin check.

A creature at 0 HP that no longer makes Death Saves; it can still die from further damage.
