Player's Handbook · Chapter 6

Quick tips

  • Play to your character, especially if it's against their own best interests. You'll get XP.
  • Keep an eye on Clocks, Questions, and the Event Log. Edit them if you want to fine-tune the story's grounding.
  • Tell your GM when you think it makes sense to establish that you have a negative or complicated relationship with an NPC - you'll get XP, and it makes the story more interesting.
  • If you feel like you're hitting the high point of a scene, feel free to ask for the Scene Transition Protocol (this should trigger automatically, but you have agency, too).
  • There's only a couple pinned files. Go ahead and edit "Reminders" with any notes related to the high-level social rules or themes of your setting - the background understanding that permeates every scene.
