Player's Handbook · Chapter 7

At the Table

Craft Lite is built to be run by an AI Game Master. A session is a conversation: describe what your character does in plain words, and the GM narrates, calls for rolls when stakes are real, and keeps the world's files up to date.

What a round of play looks like

You say what you attempt. If failure would be interesting, the GM names the skill and the Difficulty; you roll 2d6, add the number from your sheet, and the fiction moves. The GM never rolls for you — your dice are yours.

Resting

A long rest refills all three pools and clears most lingering harm. Health comes back through healing feats, items, and rest as the GM adjudicates.

Getting Downed

At 0 Health you are Down, not dead — the GM instructions govern what happens next, and dying is a story event, not a bookkeeping one. Still: retreat is a legal move, and F-Rank characters who pick fights with A-Rank monsters get exactly what the rank ladder promises.

Quick reference

Two files are worth pinning: @Missing file for the numbers you'll want mid-scene, and @Missing file for the complete walkthrough of everything this handbook summarized. When this book and a compendium rule disagree, the compendium file wins.

The spirit of the thing

Only roll when it matters. Choose the stat that makes the best story when two could fit. Spend your pools — they refresh, and a dramatic Cryo Burst beats a cautious basic attack every time the tale is told afterward.
