Pathfinder's Golarion

Pathfinder's 1e Golarion.
Golarion is a world of ancient empires, restless gods, and fragile civilizations built on ruins they barely understand. Beneath every kingdom lie the bones of something older — Thassilonian monuments, Azlanti ruins, and powers that slumber in the dark, waiting to be unearthed.
This is a world where the divine is tangible. Gods walk among mortals through their servants, and faith is not belief — it is power. Clerics channel the raw essence of their deities. Paladins carry divine fire in their swords. And where gods tread, their enemies follow: demon lords, ancient evils, and cults that worship what should stay buried.
The Inner Sea region stands at a crossroads of history. Empires have risen and fallen here — Azlant drowned beneath the sea, Thassilon shattered into ruin, and the Starstone still hums with the power that sundered them both. Now, dozens of nations jostle for power, faiths compete for souls, and ordinary people try to live their lives in the shadow of monuments they cannot explain.
THE SETTING This project is set in Sandpoint, Varisia — a small coastal town known as "The Light of the Lost Coast." Sandpoint sits on the edge of the frontier, where goblins raid from the wilderness and ancient Thassilonian ruins lie just beyond the tree line.
The current year is 4707 AR (Absalom Reckoning). It is winter — the days are cold, the nights are cool, and something is stirring beneath the surface.
THEMES - Ancient Consequences: The present is shaped by the past. - Faith as Power: The gods are real, and their power is tangible. - Frontier and Civilization: Civilization is a thin veneer over chaos. - Ordinary People in Extraordinary Times: When the extraordinary intrudes, it falls to those willing to act.
