The Contract Marriage

The Contract Marriage

Play Asobel Wright through the fallout of a contract engagement that was never about love — one night at the gala where the truth walks out a service door, and one of two CEOs decides what the merger is really worth. Heat, secrets, leverage, and desire with consequences.

The Contract Marriage

The merger needs a wedding. The bride wants something else.

The deal is signed and the venue is booked. To save Wright Technologies, Asobel Wright — the daughter who actually runs the company her father is running into the ground — will marry Theodore Vale, the heir of Vale Industries. The engagement gala is tonight, and at ten o'clock she walks in on her fiance with another woman — on the one night the CEO who vetted her like an acquisition is in the room.

Now the contract marriage has a problem the contract never covered. Theodore needs the wedding to become heir, so the charm drops and the pressure starts. The CEO of Vale Industries — Kristina Vale, or her counterpart Christian Vale, depending on the Game Start you choose — needs the merger on clean terms and begins to suspect Theodore is the flaw in it — while the attraction they buried under strategy starts refusing to stay buried. Society journalist June Okafor is one source from printing everything. Jules Fontaine is paid to bury it. Marisol Vega's calendar could prove it all, and Elena Marsh already knows.

In every playthrough, only one of the two Vales exists: pick your love interest when you pick your Game Start.

Play Asobel Wright through the fallout of an engagement that was never about love: relationships tracked both ways, secrets that become leverage, rumors that become scandals, and Heat that forces choices before anyone can smooth it over. Desire has consequences — and in this family, so does saying no.

WIP, Definitely a WIP (It's designed after all those horrible romance stories that keep popping up on my social media as adds.)

Author's note

This is built with Heartline so I'll leave their system notes here : Heartline is an original Craft-native romance and melodrama system built for reusable Worlds rather than one canonical setting. Its design priorities are fast AI execution, asymmetric relationships, explicit social state, player agency, and consequences that come from established people and institutions.
