Descend into Unmade Heaven, a buried accumulation of impossible futures, cities, lives, species, weather and dead gods reality never allowed to happen. As a Refractor, read omens, navigate hand-mapped Heavens, build through Gear and Facets, steal Authority from the Unthroned, and decide when to ASK HEAVEN for the version where your failed roll succeeded. Every Miracle helps the unreal become more real. Defeat Certainties, recover Proofs, meet Afterimages of failed runs, and leave before the most beautiful place in the world finishes becoming around you.
The deeper you go, the more beautiful it becomes.
Every choice leaves possibilities behind. Most disappear so completely that nobody can mourn them: the street that was never built, the child who was almost born, the civilization that lost the coin toss of history, the version of you who learned a different skill and lived a different life. For reasons no Archive entry can prove, some rejected possibilities stopped vanishing. They accumulated beneath ordinary reality until places, people, laws, weather and entire histories gained enough coherence to have weight. Explorers named the whole impossible depth **Unmade Heaven**. It is not a dream, simulation or afterlife. It is possibility with mass.
The stable regions below are called Heavens. Each has geography, inhabitants and a law that behaves as naturally there as gravity does here. The danger is not that they are fake. The danger is that they are becoming real. As Becoming rises, a Heaven grows more complete: materials clarify, creatures move with greater intention, architecture becomes ceremonial, impossible laws gain reach, and the scenery becomes more beautiful because the possibility itself is becoming harder for reality to refuse. At Manifest, the Heaven is no longer content to be visited. It begins looking for a way to remain.
Refractors are people capable of entering without immediately losing the thread of the life that actually happened to them. One ordinary memory serves as an Anchor. From Stillpoint, the only stable entrance the Archive can maintain, they descend to recover Gear, Facets, Proofs and other condensed possibilities before the current Heaven finishes becoming around them. When a roll fails, a Refractor may ACCEPT FAILURE or ASK HEAVEN. The Heaven supplies the nearby possibility in which the action succeeded. It always works on its own terms, and the price is more Becoming.
Below the impossible worlds lie rarer traces of something stranger. Some rejected histories had religions. Some had gods. A few of those gods left behind endings even though reality never allowed their lives to occur. Stillpoint calls them **the Unthroned**: divinities with deaths without lives. Their surviving jurisdiction can be carried as Authority, letting a Refractor temporarily command distance, warmth, storms, possibility, prediction, sight, mercy and other laws that ordinary reality never agreed to obey.
The current campaign follows the deepest stable route Stillpoint has mapped: nine Heavens from The Vertical Sea to The World Without Loss. That route is a practical fact, not an explanation for why the Unmade exists. Each Certainty guards a world that increasingly treats its own possibility as inevitable; each Proof is evidence that the inevitable can be made to admit an exception. The cause of the Unmade, the reason dead gods can leave funerals behind, and what happens if a Manifest Heaven truly wins selection remain mysteries the game is allowed to keep.
Unmade Heaven follows one governing law: beauty is the clearest danger signal the world gives you. Every step downward should reveal a more memorable view, a more sophisticated threat, a more tempting reward and a harder question about what deserves to become real. The nine-Heaven Pilgrimage, persistent quest outcomes, Proofs, Afterimages, build progression, and post-campaign Refracted Descents form one complete game loop.
