Soundtrack for Craft
TLDR; A module designed to help facilitate context-aware music selection. Requirements: The "Active Soundtrack" File pinned in the Game Sidebar. How it works: In simple terms, the user provides a link to a YouTube video in one file (you can have multiple files, but only one YouTube link per file), then assign tags and describe the context in which the video should be chosen. Then the GM picks the YouTube video based on story context. The user then can click on the link in the Game Sidebar and be taken to YouTube where they can watch the video. How to install: This module is adaptable and can be integrated into any system. Ask Orbit to Integrate the module and it should ask you some questions about your world to help better guide it, before it proceeds with the integration. It is highly recommended you have some sort of 'Scene State' tracker, such as from Vocal Misfits Realm Flow, to track the intensity and emotional beats of the current state of the game, however a rudimentary version of this is packaged with this module and thus is not strictly a prerequisite. Browser extension: (Released on GitHub! Check the Discord!) A 3rd party browser extension, unrelated to CraftRPGs developers, that reads the Active Soundtrack file that displays the YouTube link and can spawn a mini YouTube player and automatically play the video while staying completely within the CraftRPGs website. This extension will ALWAYS show the YouTube player and will ALWAYS comply with YouTubes terms of service, so it cannot be turned fully transparent, made smaller/collapsible, or made intangible. Trust me, this is the lowest profile I can make it. So please don't ask. **IMPORTANT** You MUST pin the "Active Soundtrack" file to the Game Sidebar otherwise the Browser Extension -will not work-.
