🧠Adventure Path — The adventure moves. A plug-and-play, system-agnostic adventure generation engine for creating complete, playable adventure paths inside the /Adventure Path/ folder. Adventure Path audits the host project’s characters, locations, factions, encounter framework, and mechanical language, then generates an adventure scaled to match. It organizes the adventure as a connected structure of origins, transits, hubs, and terminals while preserving enough flexibility for player choice, failure, recovery, and off-path play. At its core, every adventure is managed through two authored files: Transit Map — The adventure’s complete structure, including its entries, connections, topology, dramatic goal, clues, fronts, and transition rules. Memory — The adventure’s live runtime state, including the current entry, discovered facts, active threads, recent scenes, consequences, objectives, and recovery state. When the players visit a location for the first time, Adventure Path materializes a full Adventure Entry from its lightweight transit-map stub. This creates a scene tailored to the project’s genre, tone, theme, mechanics, and current story state without requiring every possible scene to be written in advance. The system includes an installer that: Selects the player characters and studies their backstories Audits the host project and its existing mechanical framework Identifies a suitable hook location and usable world content Configures the adventure’s genre, tone, scale, duration, and topology Generates antagonist fronts, clues, locations, NPC connections, and scene entries Verifies references, prerequisites, graph integrity, mystery consistency, and runtime readiness Hands the finished adventure over to the shared Adventure Runner During play, the Adventure Runner manages scene boundaries, objective progress, transitions, failures, recovery, clue discovery, topology rules, and terminal resolution. Before each scene it assembles the appropriate entry from the transit map and current memory. After each scene it records what changed and updates the adventure’s state. Adventure Path supports branching paths, forks, loops, webs, recoverable failures, unresolved clues, faction activity, persistent consequences, and multiple antagonist forces. It does not assume fantasy, a particular rules system, or a fixed style of play. Instead, it speaks the host project’s own mechanical and narrative language.
